And here we have in exclusive at 0dayrox ”KISS – An Alternative Revenge”, a 2026 bootleg / import CD release from Good Ship Funke Records containing rare studio takes, instrumentals, and alternate versions from KISS’ 1990-1992 ‘Revenge’ album sessions. Additionally, there’s many unreleased songs!
There’s 21 tracks on the CD, and while many of the demos from the Revenge Sessions circulated among fans over the years, never were heard with this superb sound quality.
”KISS – An Alternative Revenge” is listed by major retailer Juno.UK as ‘best seller’ 2026 – the CD is sold out already, with used copies being sold for over $100 and growing.

By the mid-Eighties KISS had removed their iconic make up and entered what fans call the unmasking period, a time that saw them refocus on musicianship and contemporary hard rock. In 1992 they released ”Revenge”, a tougher, darker album that revitalised their sound and reaffirmed KISS relevance in hard rock history. It stands as one of the strongest entries from their post make up years.

The road to ”Revenge” was marked by both creative renewal and personal upheaval. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley brought guitarist Bruce Kulick and drummer Eric Carr into the sessions, while also re-enlisting producer Bob Ezrin, whose earlier work with the band had become legendary. Tragically, Carr passed away during the making of the album, and Eric Singer stepped in to complete the sessions with professionalism and power. The result captured a band determined to honor their past while forging ahead.
Some of the songs used for “Revenge” were in fact written 1983-1985, and updated to the early Nineties style & sound. Here we hear the songs in a fascinating, very different form, with a very good sound quality.
