Formed in 2004 in Mjölby / Linköping, Sweden, MARYSCREEK was born from a shared vision between singer/guitarist Mats Nilsson and drummer Stefan Halldin: to create heavy, guitar-driven rock with strong melodies and soaring choruses. The band quickly made an impression with their debut album ‘Some Kind of Hate‘ on the now legendary label MTM Music in 2007, a record that took them across Europe and established their signature blend of hard-hitting riffs and emotional intensity.
After line-up changes and a self-released EP, MarysCreek continued to build a loyal following through relentless touring, sharing stages with acts such as S.O.T.O, Takida, Evergrey, Uriah Heep, The Poodles, Bonfire, Hardline and many more.
In 2016, MarysCreek signed with Escape Music for their second full-length album ‘Infinity‘ — a critically acclaimed release that showcased the band’s evolution into a more mature, melodic yet powerful sound.
Despite setbacks, line-up changes, and the global pandemic, MarysCreek never lost momentum. With Anton Wessman now behind the drums, and long-time members Mats Nilsson, Jonas Hallberg, Roger Blomberg, and Alexander Eriksson driving the creative force, the band has completed their long-awaited new album “The Beginning Of The End”.
This new album marks a new chapter for MarysCreek, one that blends experience with renewed passion, melodic strength, and the unmistakable energy that has defined the band from the start. This new CD is dominated by heavy riffs, a sound heavier than before balancing hard-hitting melodic hard rockers with smooth passages and strong melodies.
