Now we are featuring in exclusive this fantastic installment from the “Alive The Live” series only available in Japan (disc manufactured in Taiwan by King Street Records), the mighty BADLANDS live : “London Astoria １９９２“.
BADLANDS was simply one of the greatest hard rock bands ever. This CD documents their last performance with Ray Guillen as vocalist. While there’s several bootlegs circulating, the sound quality of this “Alive The Live” is far superior.
On July 2, 1992, former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee, drummer Jeff Martin, bass player Greg Chaisson and one-time Black Sabbath singer Ray Gillen, took to the stage at London Astoria performing previews from their latest album ‘Voodoo Highway’ with highlights from both sides (East and West) of their 1989 self-titled debut Badlands.
Gillen was already fired, but the band agreed to complete the UK tour. Despite the tension between members, BADLANDS performance is awesome. Lee’s guitar work kills, and Gillen, already ill, sings his heart out.

The CD is completed with live recordings captured in Canada in 1989, featuring Eric Singer on drums.
Everything coming from BADLANDS is pure gold, and while these recordings are not perfect, it’s great to hear the magic of this band.
King Street’s epic double feature comes with fully restored and professionally remastered audio, presented with liner notes and band photos.
