Before joining BRITNY FOX for the recording of the album ‘Bite Down Hard’, capable vocalist TOMMY PARIS had his own band named after his ‘stage name’ Don Jillson. With all songs penned by Don Jillson ‘Paris’ – he’s a prolific songwriter – JILLSON released their debut album titled “Deadly Girl” in 1990 on CD and Cassette via an indie label.

Armed with CD copies Paris / Jillson was shopping for a record deal for JILLSON, and a friend told him about the Britny Fox auditions. The rest is history – JILLSON the band was put on hiatus, and Paris joined Britny Fox.
Well, you can hear on “Deadly Girl” why they pick up the vocalist: not only he’s a terrific hard rock singer but a great songwriter as well.
Very well produced for an indie, “Deadly Girl” is a killer late ’80s Melodic Hard Rock / Hair Metal collection of songs, mixing the melody of NIGHT RANGER, the punch of Y&T, and the catchiness, at places, similar to Eighties REO Speedwagon.

This is the Retrospect Records reissue of JILLSON’s “Deadly Girl”, remastered by TOMMY PARIS and adding 3 previously unreleased songs as bonus tracks. Now, the CD is out of print.
