Guitarist JOE HOLMES (formerly of Ozzy Osbourne and David Lee Roth) has just released a self-titled solo album, “Joe Holmes“, featured in exclusive on 0dayrox. The hard rock record features metal heavyweights Robert Trujillo (Metallica) on bass, awesome drummer Mike Bordin (Faith No More) – the 3 met being members of Ozzy’s band – and vocalist Robert Locke (Laidlaw).
The album “Joe Holmes” is dedicated to Ozzy’s memory.
JOE HOLMES is an incredible rocking guitarist. He got his start studying guitar under the legendary Randy Rhoads, a formative experience that shaped his playing style from the ground up. He went on to join David Lee Roth’s band before landing his most high-profile role in Ozzy Osbourne’s touring and recording lineup. He co-wrote three tracks on Ozzy’s 2001 album ‘Down To Earth’, cementing his place in the Prince of Darkness’s legacy.
Let me tell you—Joe Holmes is an incredible guitarist. I saw him with Ozzy in ’95, right after Zakk Wylde left the slot, and Holmes absolutely blew our minds. He’s even more complete technically than Wylde, yet just as wild as a performer.

And the man is a terrific songwriter too. All songs on “Joe Holmes” are keepers: groovy, hard rocking, riff-gold stuff to die for. Locke is a top class singer, and of course having Trujillo & Bordin as rhythm section elevates things to heaven.
