Alongside the fresh, new Japanese remastred CD reissue of DAVID LEE ROTH‘s first three awesome album we featured in exclusive, here’s something you need to hear: “Eat ‘Em And Smile Outtakes / Studio Sessions“.
This unofficial CD release is fantastic, presenting the very early studio takes of some of the songs that ended into DAVID LEE ROTH first full length solo album. It sould be titled ‘Studio Sessions’ and not ‘Outtakes’.
Sure, there’s a track titled ‘Jam’ (which is terrific btw with Sheehan / Vai / Bissonette showcasing their chops), but the other tracks are titles that leter ended into the LP track list, such as the classic ‘Yankee Rose’, ‘Elephant Gun’, ‘Ladie’s Nite In Buffalo’, ‘I’m Easy’, and more.
The cool thing is that these early tracks are drastically different from the final, official album tracks. This is very well recorded & mixed material. And sound quality is awesome, A++
