KUNI feat. Jeff Scott Soto – Live in Japan 1988 *Exclusive*

Yesterday we featured in exclusive the remastered CD reissue of Japanese left-handed hero KUNI Takeuchi second LP ‘Lookin’ For Action” – now we have the recording of a gig presenting the album, “Live in Japan 1988“, with the unique Jeff Scott Soto on vocals, drummer Mike Terrana and bass player Douglas Taylor Baker.
This KUNI concert was captured live at Shibuya Kokaido, Tokyo, Japan, 1988-05-10, and was recorded for radio and TV broadcast. There was a limited VHS tape release as well. In fact, that’s the source of our Audio files, much better sounding than the bootleg circulating out there.
Jeff Scott Soto is absolutely on fire here—one of the rare rock vocalists who delivers with the same power and precision in the studio as he does live. Takeuchi and the rest of the band are in top form too, bringing a heavy, alive energy throughout. The setlist pulls from both KUNI albums and even includes tracks that were unreleased at the time of this performance, making it a truly special showcase.
