STEVE CAMP (feat. Dann Huff) – Shake Me To Wake Me [Girder Records Remastered] (2026) HQ *0dayrox Exclusive*

320_1 /// 320_2 /// HQ 1 /// HQ 2

In 1985, contemporary Christian rock was undergoing a massive sonic revolution. Production was getting massive, guitars were getting heavier, and the hooks were getting bigger. Standing right at the vanguard of that movement was singer STEVE CAMP. His 1985 landmark album, ‘Shake Me To Wake Me‘, indeed shook the CCM landscape with a mainstream radio-fiendly sound.
Co-produced by Camp alongside Rob Frazier (Petra), the album seamlessly moves between hard-hitting, guitar-driven rock and polished West Coast AOR.
Recorded at some of the most legendary studios of the era—including Sunset Sound and Bill Schnee Studios in Los Angeles—’Shake Me To Wake Me’ features a powerhouse lineup of studio musicians, including future GIANT guitarist Dann Huff and keyboardist Alan Pasqua. Also on guitar the unique Michael Landau shine, and on bass there’s Neil Stubenhaus.
First time released on CD, this Girder Records remaster is a limited edition to just 300 copies total, with the first 100 units hand-numbered for the ultimate collector’s item.

Reviewers and fans alike have long praised the album for breaking the barriers of Christian radio at the time. All noted that the massive, keyboard-driven pop-rock AOR and searing guitar solos pushed the sonic edges of mainstream formats.
‘Shake Me To Wake Me’ is a true mid-Eighties record, with that glossy production, clean vocals, spark keyboards and chicken-scratch rhythm guitars, plus soaring melodic solos.
