The album indeed a is a classic metal alliance including performances by W.A.S.P.’s Chris Holmes, Raven vocalist John Gallagher, Soilwork singer Björn Strid, Danko Jones, Anthrax’s Neil Turbin, Manowar’s Ross “The Boss” Friedman and lots more.
“Alliance” is so cheesy, so clichéd that we love it. This is late Seventies / early Eighties melodic sounding metal, which nowadays is classic rock. In fact, various tracks are very classic rock here, melodic, not metal at all.
