BLACK SUN – Black Sun (2024) *HQ*

Fronted by the formidable Finnish vocalist Netta Laurenne (Smackbound), BLACK SUN is completed by founding members Nicolas Estrada (drums), Christopher Grünberg (guitar), and Santiago Salem (bass) as well as the band’s producer, Thunderstone guitarist Nino Laurenne.
With this new lineup, BLACK SUN entered the studio to record their self-titled full-length album ”Black Sun”, a 10-track hard hitting slice of melodic metal driven by classic riffs with a modern sound. This is a powerful upbeat rocking metal album with strong female vocals, something that is welcomed.
While BLACK SUN core style is melodic metal / power, some tracks deliver a delicious Hard Rock feel from the 80s amplified by Netta’s fantastic vocal performances, with Christopher kicking some serious ass with his in-your-face riffs while Nicolas pounds his drums in great fashion.
