FRICTION – Un-Mastered – Never Released 1982-1988 *0dayrox exclusive*

This one was requested here alongside ”Baby Talk”: all the recording demos from American melodic hard rockers FRICTION released by the band in limited quantities under the title “Un-Mastered – Never Released 1982-1988“.
The compilation title speaks for itself: these are the songs Friction wrote and demoed in the Eighties while shopping labels: there’s harder rocker from 1982, more AORish keyboard driven tunes from 1984, and typical US melodic rockers from 1986-87-88.
These tracks aren’t available anywhere, and while they are really ‘Un-Mastered’ (all untouched, like in the original tapes) hence sound quality vary, all are wonderful slices of classic stuff in this genre.
Rare & good!

FRICTION – Baby Talk (1990) Out of print

Baby Talk“, the only official album from American melodic hard rockers FRICTION is one of rarest U.S. indie CD’s out there. Currently there’s an eBay auction asking U$D 2,500 for it, go figure. While many rare album doesn’t worth that ridiculous price, “Baby Talk” is so much sought after there’s a reason: the music is awesome US melodic hard rock, and production fabulous for an indie.
FRICTION born in 1982 and the band recorded several demos with major labels interested but good luck eluded the band. Anyway, they managed to release “Baby Talk” by themselves, professionally factory pressed yet in limited quantities.
The 11 songs packed here are like a cross between BLUE TEARS and early BON JOVI, rich in melody, catchiness, harmony vocals plus with some AORish moments.
Tracks like ‘Down And Lonely’, ‘Lover’s Lane’, ‘Too Late To Cry’ or the very good power ballad ‘Wave Goodbye To A Friend’ shoulda propelled FRICTION to stardom.
Being hard to find, there has been various bootlegs and transcoded versions of “Baby Talk”, this is taken from the original CD pressing…
