GREG LAKE – Greg Lake (feat Gary Moore, Steve Lukather) [Cherry Red remastered +3]

Over the course of his career, talented GREG LAKE has been part of King Crimson, Emerson Lake and Palmer / Powell, Asia, etc, along with recording three solo albums. The two albums Greg Lake recorded during the ’80s – “Greg Lake (1981)” and “Manoeuvres (1983)” have been released by Cherry Red Records in a special two-disc set.
“Greg Lake / Manoeuvres remastered & expanded” have received a 2016 remastering treatment which has the personal approval of Lake, plus 4 bonus tracks which have never been included on any re-issue of the albums, only on separate rarities albums.
Trying to find some direction after leaving ELP, Greg Lake released this album with the help of Gary Moore and other studio musicians including members of TOTO.
In contrast to the progressive nature of ELP, Lake’s self titled solo album finds the artist flirting with melodic rock / AOR and FM Radio Rock, prioritizing songwriting above all other musical aspects.

Greg had just done a classic solo turn in ’81 with his self-titled album featuring Gary Moore on guitar, and for this “Manoeuvres” he brought back Moore again to play all guitars & solos…

GREG LAKE – The Anthology; A Musical Journey [2xCD Box Set] (2020)

GREG LAKE left behind a rich musical legacy when he passed away in 2016. As a member of Emerson Lake & Palmer, King Crimson, pre-Crim bands The Shy Limbs and The Shame – not to mention his talents as a solo artist, producer, and composer – he helped define the landscape of progressive rock.
A new career-spanning compilation called “The Anthology: A Musical Journey” will pay tribute to his contributions through the decades.
The two-disc set features 33 tracks, including many of Lake’s best-known songs, beloved album cuts, and rarities, all fully remastered. There’s the hard-to-find…

EMERSON LAKE & PALMER – In The Hot Seat [Deluxe Edition remastered 2017]

In The Hot Seat“, EMERSON LAKE & PALMER’s ninth and final studio album has just been released in a 2017 Deluxe Edition remastered for the first time. While among prog purists this is considered as Emerson, Lake & Palmer weakest album, for me it’s a very good one because comprises an interesting mixture of mainstream rock (almost AORish), classic ELP prog, melodic rock and finely crafted ballads.
It was produced by Keith Olsen (Europe, Whitesnake, Foreigner) so you know what to expect in terms of sound.
Originally titled ‘The Best Seat In The House’, “In The Hot Seat” was released in 1994 following the band’s successful 1992 world tour comeback album ‘Black Moon’.
“In The Hot Seat” was an appropriate name, given that the trio was under pressure to consider adopting more ‘commercial’ material. Then ELP devised many great tracks, notably the excellent ‘Hand of Truth,’ that launches Disc 1 of this double CD set…
