JOHN CORABI – Unplugged (2012) HQ *Out Of Print*

Known for his vocal work with THE SCREAM, MOTLEY CRUE, and UNION (with ex- KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick), American rock vocalist JOHN CORABI released in 2012 his solo debut album entitled “Unplugged“.
Recorded into the studio in the classic ‘unplugged’ format but with a lot of instrumentation layers the now out-of-print CD offers 5 new original tracks, 7 re-recorded songs from his past bands and in addition, features an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview with John.
Over the years, it seems there is no middle ground when it comes to people’s opinions of John Corabi, either you love him or hate him. With Corabi on vocals, MOTLEY CRUE released one critically acclaimed full-length CD. I’ve known several people who refused to listen to the album because it wasn’t Vince Neil, yet when I put the album on and didn’t tell them who it was, they loved it.
Also, there are a large number of people who won’t give him a fair shot because the CD was released in the wake of grunge, and despite a Top-10 placing on the album chart, it ended up being a commercial failure for the label.
While this new release it’s a departure from the hard rocking stuff that you would expect from this singer, this is not a shock to anyone who has followed his career as Corabi has performed many acoustic gigs over the years.
But to issue an unplugged album as your debut solo effort is a ballsy move in my opinion. That being said, John is one of a few artists that could pull off such a feat after the career fronting the bands that he has.
And “Unplugged” sounds fantastic…

JOHN CORABI – Live ’94 [One Night In Nashville] (2018) *HQ* Out of Print

Former MOTLEY CRUE and current THE DEAD DAISIES singer JOHN CORABI released the album titled “Live 94 (One Night in Nashville)” back in 2018 (now out of print and retired from streaming platforms), a live album featuring solo performances of tracks from the self-titled studio CD he recorded with MOTLEY CRUE.
Corabi, who replaced Vince Neil in 1992, was part of the lineup that released the band’s self-titled sixth album “Motly Crue” in 1994. By 1997 he’d been removed in favor of the returning Neil following record company pressure.
Before start reading next, and to avoid confusion: ”Live ’94 [One Night In Nashville]” was recored in 2015, during Corabi’s tour called “Motley ’94” where he performed live in its entirety 1994’s ‘Motley Crue” studio album.
Corabi even performs the bonus track “10,000 Miles Away,” which originally was released as a bonus track on the Japanese version of the “Quaternary” EP.
Crisply produced by guru Michael Wagener, on “Live ‘94 (One Night in Nashville)” – recorded on Oct. 27, 2015, in (obviously) Nashville, Tennessee – the songs written and originally recorded more than two decades ago sound just as fresh, vital and exhilarating as ever – maybe even more so now because of how overlooked they’ve been over the years.
Time has robbed Corabi’s raspy voice of none of its power, and his band, Jeremy Asbrock (guitar/vocals), Tommy Daley (guitar), Topher Nolen (bass guitar/vocals) and his son Ian Corabi (drums/percussion), perfectly recreates the songs, which could not have been an easy task given some of the complicated arrangements.
Knowing how little Motley ended up touring behind this album, Corabi’s tour likely was the first time many of these songs were performed live…
