LAURENNE / LOUHIMO – The Reckoning (2021)

Frontiers Music is presenting the first collaboration between powerhouse Finnish vocalists Noora Louhimo (Battle Beast) and Netta Laurenne (Smackbound), easily one of the most exciting metal/hard rock alliances in recent times, simply because we have a female-fronted double combo.
On “The Reckoning” the two ladies put together a storming melodic metal album with the collaboration of Netta’s husband Nino Laurenne on guitars & songwriting, and Sampo Haapaniemi on drums. For Netta Laurenne the idea about a possible collaboration with Noora was incubating for a few years. Once the pandemic cleared the calendars for both singers, it felt like a perfect time to start the project.
Both vocalists masters various musical styles, an it showcases on “The Reckoning”, female-fronted melodic metal / hard rock with a classic feeling and a powerful production handled by Nino.

NOORA LOUHIMO EXPERIENCE – Eternal Wheel Of Time And Space (2021)

While Finland’s female vocalist NOORA LOUHIMO became known as front woman for commercial power metallers Battle Beast, she has a different musical background. And that it’s reflected into Noora’s solo album “Eternal Wheel Of Time And Space“, with the NOORA LOUHIMO EXPERIENCE.
The material here is traditional hard rock with a strong dose of blues foundation, there’s some funk and Midwestern American ‘acoustic-road’ tunes as well, all with melody and driven by the impressive soulful voice of Louhimo.
Indeed, “Eternal Wheel Of Time And Space” seems recorded in America during the Eighties, and at places, the Seventies. All with a modern polished production but a natural, timeless sound.
