DIESEL – Alone With Blues (2021) *Exclusive*

DIESEL (Mark Lizotte) returns with a vital and exhilarating collection of blues classics and rarities playing every instrument on his first completely solo album, ”Alone With Blues”. Here, Diesel pays tribute to giants like Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Otis Rush, etc, done his particular melodic style, but closer to home an Australian legend too; first single, ‘Six Steel Strings’ is a blazing original co-write with Ross Wilson.
There’s that wonderful ‘pop’ as opener ‘I’m Satisfied’ bursts out of the speakers. And the real sound of a band hitting its groove which is remarkable when you think that everything on here was played by Diesel.

‘Johnny’ DIESEL is one of the hardest working and most respected artists within the industry, and undoubtedly takes his place in Australian music lore as one of our favorite sons. His skill, appeal and craftmanship attesting to his longevity – he’s notched up 30 years plus on the scene and has a solid fan base of young and old, both here and overseas.
