Yes, it is happening: the cult classic 1989 “Destiny” debut album by MARCHELLO from New York, US, is finally being reissued on CD for the first time, including lots of unreleased bonus tracks.
A brilliant mixture of AOR, Hard Rock and guitar shredding Melodic Metal featuring the virtuoso guitarist and singer Gene Marchello, the album is a killer from start to finish. Released for the first time back in 1989 only in USA and Japan this little masterpiece for the genre was screaming for a CD reissue. Highly demanded by fans and collectors worldwide not just because of its out-of-print status but because it is one of the top Melodic Hard Rock albums from the ’80s.
This Arkeyn Steel Records edition features completely remastered audio plus bonus tracks from the “Marchello Happy Camper Summer Sampler” promo disc that was sent to media back in the time of the original release. A limited 500 copies / numbered release with superb sound quality.
The 500 hand-numbered copies sold-out in a minute, so the label ordered a second and Final Edition limited to 500 CDs again.

There are lots of important features on this debut that make it a top class album: first of all the songwriting. Yes it is a fact: there are no fillers in here. There is just this perfectly balanced mixture of Hard Rock and Melodic Metal with some AOR touches, that really shines and works as the perfect frame for each and every song in here.
Secondly there is this incredible guitar performance of Gene Marchello that takes the music of this album to the very next level. Everything is here, melodies and licks and lots of into the point shredding.
Thirdly there is this brilliant voice of Gene that really works as a remarkable trademark for the songs of this album.

The whole Marchello reissue project was supervised by Giles Lavery, the talented current singer of the mighty Warlord, who also does some serious work in the music business worldwide.
“Destiny” is much more than an album. It is the shining star of an extremely talented musician who chased his dream. Marchello was a phenomenal band, at least that is what is said by everyone that has witnessed their shows back in New York’s rock ‘n’ roll days of the late 80s.
