DEF LEPPARD – Rejoice (2026) HQ / Hi-Res *0dayrox Exclusive*

Global icons DEF LEPPARD are releasing their new single “Rejoice“. The dynamic track comes ahead of DEF LEPPARD’s triumphant return to Las Vegas for their “Def Leppard: Live at Caesars Palace The Las Vegas Residency” that kicks off February 3.
On the creation of the song, DEF LEPPARD lead singer Joe Elliott shares: “This song’s been an amazing journey from concept to conclusion. I said to Phil Collen one day, ‘I’ve got this idea for a lyric where the narrator is at absolute rock bottom and wants to rise up to a higher level. Do you have a musical piece that might match with that?’ And he said, ‘As it happens, yes I do.'”
Collen adds: “I had this riff, this idea for a song a while ago actually, so when Joe came to me I created a drum loop based with a tribal sound and it fit perfectly with this other arrangement I had. It all started gelling and just sounded like a powerful chant. We love it. It’s hard rock for us. It’s got a bit more of an ‘oomph’ than stuff we’ve been doing for a while. It’s kind of magical.”
It’s indeed a good song, not heavy, but anthemic for sure.
Then we have the song DEF LEPPARD recorded last year for FireAid benefit to prevent future fire disasters throughout Southern California – the classic Ben E. King song “Stand By Me”. The recording is also included in the Netflix film ‘Bank of Dave 2: The Lone Ranger’, which is currently available. Joe has done this song justice with great phrasing…

STORMZONE – Immortal Beloved (2026) *HQ*

Belfast’s STORMZONE debut album appeared two decades ago on Escape Music. After seven LP’s on different labels, now the band returns to Escape for the release of their brand new effort titled “Immortal Beloved“, ready for their 20th Anniversary.
Musically STORMZONE’s origins blended traditonal hard rock with metal with AOR touches and tons of melody. Well, STORMZONE 2026 developed into a mighty melodic metal monster and this is without doubt the finest thing they have ever committed to whatever medium you like to listen to. Think latter day Pretty Maids and perhaps some Pink Cream 69, however STORMZONE sports their own sound.
And a huge sound it is. Opener ‘Steel Meets Ice’ sets the stall out straightaway with some superb chunky riffage, loads of double kick action and soaring vocals. Then thatc 2 is a highlight, the utterly superb ‘Tyrannosaur (Screaming in the Night)’, opens with a twin guitar intro before it eases smoothly into a fist-pumping metal anthem with a hook so big you could catch Moby Dick…

FIREBORN – Dreamcatcher (2026)

Well, this is a surprise; Hailing from the same management / songwriting / production stable as perennial triers Burning Witches, German hard rockers FIREBORN have delivered a cracker of a debut album with ”Dreamcatcher”! While Burning Witches are very heavy, FIREBORN is much more melodic, 80s hard rockin’ groovin’, catchier.
Led by frontwoman Jenny Gruber, who has been bestowed with the rare ability to rasp and soar in a way that would make the mother of metal, Doro Pesch, beam with pride, ”Dreamcatcher” threads melodic riffs with aggression and atmosphere. Tracks like ‘Point of No Return’ and ‘Dancing With The Villain’ showcase a band that is comfortable in the tension between polish and grit, with added human pulse that makes ”Fireborn” more than just another Rock outfit.
‘Point of No Return’ is perfect to describe ”Dreamcatcher” with a call to arms that is drenched in Gruber’s fiery vocal gymnastics and guitar distortion. ‘Dancing With The Villain’ is a noir‑tinged hard rock anthem that balances menace with melody, each riff feeling like it could either lift you into the rafters or drop you into a pit.
”Dreamcatcher” is the sort of album that brushes against the familiar contours of hard rock but never settles for comfort, but instead it demands attention and a little bit of surrender, all while carrying a degree of swagger that would make ‘80s female fronted rock and metal bands beam with absolute pride…

LOVERBOY – Get Lucky +4 [Remastered by Paul Dean / 25th Anniversary Edition] *HQ*

Arguably many fans consider LOVERBOY 1981’s ‘Get Lucky’ their best album. Rock Candy Records has done a very good job with their rematered reissue, however “Get Lucky [Remastered 25th Anniversary Edition +4]” should be the one to collect; remastering has been overseen by founder / guitarist Paul Dean (he originally co-produced the recording with legend Bruce Fairbairn), and there’s 4 previously unreleased tracks only found on this CD.
Released for the album’s 25th Anniversary by Legacy / Sony Music as part of their ‘Original Album Classics‘ housed into a collectible slipcase, the remastering is very good, balanced, and preserving the original vibe.
After making a promising start with their self-titled debut, Loverboy hit the big time with second album “Get Lucky”. This canny combination of AOR hooks and new wave production gloss boasts some memorable radio-ready tunes.
You have the timeless classic ‘Working for the Weekend’, a party anthem that blends some gutsy hard-rock guitar riffs with a synthesizer-drenched arrangement to become a huge hit, while “The Lucky Ones” layers clever lyrics about the jealousy that success inspires in others over a song that mixes pomp rock grandeur with a punchy AOR arrangement full of gutsy yet slick guitar riffs…

DANNY BRYANT – Nothing Left Behind (2026)

With the release of his new album ”Nothing Left Behind”, British guitarist and singer-songwriter DANNY BRYANT steps into the most personal phase of his two-decade career. Long recognised as one of the leading figures in European blues rock, Bryant now presents a record shaped by honesty, renewal and a clear sense of purpose.
At 45, Bryant looks back on years marked by inner turmoil and excess, but also on a period of recovery and renewed focus. What emerges is a record that feels both reflective and forward-looking, driven by strong songs and a band performance that lifts the material to a higher level.
Musically, while BRYANT is being sold as blues rock artist, but on ”Nothing Left Behind” we also find some sharp melodic rock, even hard, with a bluesy foundation yes, but edgy.
Opener ‘Tougher Now’ sets the tone immediately. Uptempo and confident, it leaves space for keyboards and bass while establishing the full, warm band sound that defines the album. ‘Not Like The Others’ follows with a driving rhythm and convincing vocal delivery, proving that energy and cohesion can outweigh the need for extended guitar solos…

DEATH DEALER – Reign Of Steel (2026) *HQ*

Heavy metal supergroup DEATH DEALER, featuring members like Sean Peck (Cage), Ross “The Boss” Friedman (Manowar), master shredder Stu Marshall (Night Legion, Arkenstone), top bassist Mike LePond (Symphony X), and drummer Steve Bolognese (ex-Witherfall) will unleash their new CD “Reign Of Steel“.
Set for release on January 23, 2026, via Massacre Records, the new album offer ten tracks of powerful, uncompromising U.S. melodic metal with intricate guitar work and high-octane vocals. The album showcases the band’s signature style, blending heavy riffs with epic themes.
These cats know how to deliver the goods, the classic U.S. power metal DNA is pleasantly present all over, and the result is fresh, modern, and consistently well-crafted. Music of relentless speed and ferocious power, built on a rhythmic core that moves with the solidity yet flexibility of a finely honed steel blade, boasting the UNIQUE, magical guitar touch of Ross “The Boss” and the unbelievably untouchable voice of Peck.
DEATH DEALER’s music is based on the aggressive, charging ’90s JUDAS PRIEST attitude and the sharp speed reminiscent of PRIMAL FEAR and FIREFORCE, those distinctive moments of theirs—whether built on catchier, more recognizable patterns, or on the provocatively wild push to their absolute limits…

HELIX – Scrap Metal [Deluxe +2] (2026) HQ *Exclusive*

HELIX‘s new album “Scrap Metal“, released January 23, 2026, on Perris Records.
“Scrap Metal” features five previously unreleased tracks that retain the “classic” 1980s HELIX sound. The remaining songs are remastered rarities taken from deleted records such as “Old School”, “half-ALIVE”, “B-Sides”. The new LP’s lead single, “Stuck In The 80s”, features Sean Kelly (Gilby Clarke, CONEY HATCH, Lee Aaron) on guest lead guitar.
The current incantation of the band stays steadfastly true to its roots on the new numbers. It’s the 80’s every day in Helix’s world. It’s no irony then that the opener ‘Stuck In The 80’s‘ tells you everything you need to know – punchy, good old-fashioned hard rock with scorching vocals. An impressive feat from Vollmer who is in his 70’s.
Second song ‘Fast And Furious‘ sees the band burn into overdrive. You don’t have to guess with Helix’s song titles!
Most iconic Eighties bands only tour on their back catalog – NOT Helix, they continually record new music staying true to their roots and maintaining a legendary status…

NITE STINGER – What The Nite Is All About (2026) *HQ*

NITE STINGER pleasantly surprised with their hard rocking debut album – rawing inspiration from icons like Mötley Crüe, Ratt, Def Leppard, and Poison, the band made their mark with the strong 2021 self-titled debut. In the last few years they’ve shared the stage with Europe, Hardcore Superstar, Ron Keel, Eclipse, etc.
Now NITE STINGER gearing up for their sophomore album ”What The Nite Is All About” to be released via Pride & Joy Music. The band turns the volume even higher: sharper riffs, even more powerful guitar harmonies, and vocal lines that surprise with melodic hooks designed to get everyone singing together.
11 tracks of 80s-inspired, high-energy classic hard rock with modern production, featuring singles like “Only You” and the title track with guest vocals by Stevie Rachelle of TUFF.
The album opens with th energetic ”You Know Why”, with both guitarists in th eband already taking the lead with their classic rockin’ riffs; then Jack Fahrer delivers deep, classic vocal lines in ”Your Own Way To Be”, perfect for being played at any party around the globe…

EMOTIONAL FIRE – Rising (2026) *HQ*

We fell in love with EMOTIONAL FIRE fantastic debut EP we featured back in 2023. All four tracks were phenomenal, especially the cover of the song that the band is named after. With no disrespect to Cher or Joe Lynn Turner, this band has THE definitive version of ‘Emotional Fire’. Lead singer Therés Enström’s voice was made for this song.
The band is the brainchild of Ron Dahlgren and Nina Dahlgren, who are responsible for the excellent Gathering Of Kings releases, now ready to release their full length debut album “Rising“, with many songs written by the team of Ulrick Lönnqvist, Pete Alpenborg, and talented Rick Altzi. The material they create is some of the catchiest around.
You can go and listen now to the best track on the album, the single ‘Be With You’. I absolutely dig the call and response bridge leading up to the electrified chorus, and the blissful harmonies found there make the hairs on my arm stand up. Perfection.
Robin McAuley is featured on the powerful rocker ‘Neon Glow’, then ‘Don’t Lose Yourself’ borrows heavily from Journey’s ‘Be Good To Yourself’, and we find a sensational power ballad in ‘Fire In Your Eyes’. Power ballads are won and lost on effective emoting. It’s the lead singer’s chance to shine, and Therés Enström nails it! The passion and longing pours from her lips in a way that makes you believe she means every word…

SAXON – Destiny ’88 [Remastered CD digipak +6] (2022) *HQ*

Why not? Why they didn’t have the right to dream big? One-time champions of NWOBHM SAXON made a last-ditch bid for stardom with 1988’s ”Destiny”. But it wasn’t meant to be. As requested, this is the remastered digipak reissue including bonus tracks.
EMI said they will put everything to make SAXON huge in the U.S. They just needed a catchy rockin’ album with the sound of the time – 1987 – with melodic guitars, layers of harmonies / backing vocals, and keyboard / synth spiced. And that’s what SAXON and producer Stephan Galfas (Cher, Meat Loaf, Stryper) delivered.
Simply put, ”Destiny” isn’t a metal album, it’s a melodic hard rock record with the American sound & style circa 1987-1988. And while it didn’t rocketed SAXON to the Top 10, it sold very well and rocks!

TROY NEWMAN – Gypsy Moon (1991) *HQ*

As requested, here’s the debut album by Aussie singer / songwriter TROY NEWMAN, 1991’s “Gypsy Moon“, recorded in LA with superb musicians and produced by Greg Ladanyi (Toto, Fleetwood Mac). Like a mix of John Waite solo, Jude Cole, and the tripped side of Richard Marx, “Gypsy Moon” delivers a lovely blend of radio-friendly, guitar-driven melodic pop-rock and emotional ballads.
Troy Newman’s voice is smooth, clear, but what really shines about him are the heartfelt lyrics. Ladanyi fell in love with Troy’s music, and did everything to get this album out – from A&R business and record deal, to co-writing and producing.
As many thing in life, all happened almost by accident. Ladanyi happened to be touring Australia with Fleetwood Mac for their “Behind The Mask Tour” and trapped in Sydney due to the now famous 1989/90 Airline strike. Out of boredom he reached out to local Australian labels to pass the time, and within days would meet with Warner’s head of A&R Philip Mortlock, where he would be introduced to Troy’s and his music.
Philip arranged for Troy to fly to LA and record some tracks with some of the hottest studio musicians in the world. The result of those sessions was the album “Gypsy Moon”.
Much has been said when Troy Newman died suddenly in 1997, the cause doesn’t matter when in the end, the world lost a vocalist with great potential. He had that kind of magical quality that all great artists and poets have – a quality, which resonates deep within our hearts, minds, and souls.
He took all of his personal pain, loss, torment, longing, and confusion and transformed it into something beautiful; music…

MADCATS – Street Game ’81 [Unidisc remastered reissue] *HQ*

Here’s another band from the fantastic late ’70s / early ’80s Canadian Rock scene, the not so well known MADCATS and their second and final album, 1981’s “Street Game“, in its remastered reissue by local label Unidisc Music Inc.
Toronto’s MADCATS were formed in 1977 by guitarist Grant Fullerton (ex Lighthouse) and keyboardist Brad MacDonald, after their previous group failed to make an impact on the charts after an album and a couple of singles. They added former vocalist from The Mike McKenna Band, Bobby Blake, John Erdman on bass, and drummer Glen Gratto, and began playing the circuit while working on some material. Their self-titled debut album sold well and was distribured in the US by Buddah / Arista.
By 1981 MADCATS were signed to a new deal with legendary Domenic Troiano‘s Freedom Records. For the sophomore LP the band was looking for a polished sound, and Jack Richardson (Straight Lines, Max Webster) was chosen as producer – the man would produce Coney Hatch awesome album the next year.
Titled “Street Game”, MADCATS delivers here a wonderful mix of melodic rock, radio friendly rock&pop, and… Pomp AOR. Yeah, that classic pomp, with parping analog synths ala Roadmaster, Styx, Harlequin, New England, etc…

MEGADETH – Megadeth (2026) → **HQ**

Metal legends MEGADETH will release their final, self-titled album, next January 23, 2026, via Dave Mustaine’s Tradecraft imprint in partnership with Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK label.
“There’s so many musicians that have come to the end of their career, whether accidental or intentional,” Dave Mustaine says. “Most of them don’t get to go out on their own terms on top, and that’s where I’m at in my life right now. I have traveled the world and have made millions upon millions of fans and the hardest part of all of this is saying goodbye to them. We can’t wait for you to hear this album and see us on tour. If there was ever a perfect time for us to put out a new album, it’s now.”
Megadeth” was produced Dave Mustaine and Chris Rakestraw, and it will be Megadeth’s only album with guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari (who is a superb player btw), and their first since 2009’s Endgame to feature bassist James LoMenzo.
Megadeth are going out on a high with a killer final album, one that skilfully captures their leader’s blazing inner fire, just as it is extinguished by his own, masterful hand. What a way to go…

SAXON – Rock The Nations ’86 [Remastered CD digipak +8] (2022) *HQ*

As requested, here’s the recent remastered reissue of SAXON 1986’s album ”Rock The Nations”, including 8 very good bonus tracks. Saxon goes commercial? Sure, it was 1985-86, you needed polish to be on the radio. Did they sold their souls? Not at all! All songs rock here, and the band didn’t lost their fire as hear on the live bonuses ‘Live at Reading 1986’.
After the slick, streamlined ‘Innocence Is No Excuse’, ”Rock The Nations” sees the band return to a harder, grittier style but there’s still a bit of radio-friendly finesse needed for the era. But the album has a strong, muscular production, and some killer tracks.
The opening title-track gets things off to a great start with its bold, blocky riffing and gruff vocals and the next track Battle Cry is even better, a strident true metal belter. Byford’s vocals are astonishingly passionate and gutsy, the arena-ready main riff is absolutely inspired simplicity and the rhythm section is flawless and propulsive. It’s a triumph.
Next, ‘Waiting For The Night might be too much commercial for first-era Saxon followers, but for mid-80s Melodic Rock / AOR fans it’s a great tune.
Recorded at Wisseloord Studios in Holland with producer Gary Lyons, ”Rock The Nations” ended up being the most exuberant, balls-out rock album that Saxon had made since Denim And Leather in 1981…
