HARTMANN – The Best Is Yet To Come (2013)

HARTMANN - The Best Is Yet To Come (2013) full

*

Having four successful discs with power metalers At Vance and a participation in Tobias Sammet’s Avantasia, OLIVER HARTMANN started a solo career in 2005 with his debut ‘Out In The Cold’, a stunning collection of modern sounding Melodic Hard Rock songs. Later, Oliver formed a full band reducing the moniker simply to HARTMANN.
After seven years and five albums, “The Best Is Yet To Come” is putting together the best and most popular tracks of the band in a revised and remastered form plus some bonuses.

“The Best Is Yet To Come” features a really well done selection to give you a fair summation of Hartmann and his band’s career thus far, including some melodic rock gems from the first CD, more earthy songs of following albums like “All My Life” and “Like a River”, and a bunch of hard rockers displaying Oliver’s smooth vocalizations inspired by David Coverdale and alikes.
Avantasia completists will note that Tobias Sammet and Sacha Paeth both make appearances on the bonus track “Brothers” (the other is a great cover of John Miles’ classic “Music”) with Paeth himself liberally spreading his production values all over the place which is always a good thing.
Very Recommended.
