DOKKEN – It’s Just Another Day (new studio track 2018)

DOKKEN’s classic line-up featuring Don Dokken, George Lynch, Jeff Pilson and Mick Brown have recorded the song “It’s Just Another Day” – their first new material together in more than 20 years.
The song will be included into ‘Return To The East Live’, the CD documenting Dokken’s 2016 run of six shows in Japan which will be released via Frontiers Music on April 20.

Pilson, who co-wrote the music of “It’s Just Another Day” with Lynch, said that the studio sessions were “magical” and adds: “Don came in and sang it in a very quick session. It was a couple of hours.
He had most of the lyrics in his head and he didn’t even write them down.
Most of the melodies were kind of prepared, but it just flowed, and we just bounced off of one another and it happened very quickly. I threw the harmonies on and we were done. It was that quick.”

It’s a great rocking song in the real Dokken tradition. Don’s vocals are better, stronger than I expected, and of course Lynch & the guys are flawless.
