LOS ANGELES self-titled debut album revealed to the unsuspecting international Melodic Rock / AOR audience the talents of awesome Italian singer Michele Luppi. He cut his teeth at the VIT L.A., California, with Robin Randall (co-writer of hits for FM, Mark Free, James Christian, etc) as one of his musical coaches.
Luppi teamed up with bass player and producer Fabrizio V. Zee Grossi (Glenn Hughes, James Christian, Robin Beck, etc.) to give birth to a project that could make him express his ’80s Melodic Rock artistic roots.
The result was ‘Los Angeles’, a band including Tommy Denander, Gregg Giuffria, Joey Sykes (Boystown, Hugo) and more.

Michele’s name became known during his years into the Hard Rock and Metal scene when he became the singer of the Italian Progressive Metal band Vision Divine, on 3 studio albums and one live DVD.
Later he became the leader and frontman of a new Melodic Metal band named Killing Touch, and worked with Whitesnake, Perfect View, Charming Grace, Markonee, Wheels Of Fire, and many more bands.

‘Los Angeles’ concept is to tribute the AOR / Melodic Rock greats that shaped Luppi’s singing and songwriting abilities.
Luppi & Grossi created on this disc almost the ultimate melodic hard rock album and even if keyboards are all over the place they don’t over power the edgy and sharp guitar riffs delivered by Denander.
Luppi and crew are perfect for playing this kind of music, but then again, that’s no surprise as they are the elite within this genre. Grossi is a granite rock on bass and few beats Denander on guitar when it comes to playing melodious rock.

Almost all of the 11 songs – surprisingly same track list for the Japanese edition – are equally strong as well as the brilliant production done by Grossi.
You have here songs written by the likes of Richard Marx, Bruce Gaistch, Chris Eaton, Brad Gillis, Jeff Paris, etc.

‘Los Angeles’ debut album includes all elements that ought to appeal to every fan of either one of the band members or classy, 80s AOR / melodic hard rock with strong songwriting, catchy hooklines, smooth arrangements and memorable vocal effort by Luppi.
