Yesterday was fun, really fun; I watched ‘Kung Fury’, the new short movie (30 minutes) with more than 13 million hits on YouTube in only 7 days. Kung Fury’s neon waves of pure ’80s nostalgia smash its way into our hearts and minds with lots, lots of grand things from the golden era.
If you’ve not seen it already, go watch it right now below.

You won’t regret it – the movie is part love letter to the ’80s and part beautiful fever dream, bringing everything from dinosaurs to vikings to Hitler (AKA Kung Fuhrer), ’80s music, fairlights, etc into the mix.

So you’ve seen the movie, and are probably still pumped.
If you wanna carry on living vicariously in the ’80s for a little while longer, you can now beat up Nazis on the go in the Kung Fury game!

But perhaps the most incredible part of Kung Fury is the soundtrack, including David Hasselhoff’s pretty spectacular single “True Survivor”. The most memorable thing he’s done since he sung at the Berlin Wall and tried to unite Europe with the force of a thousand mullets.

And there’s more awesome music done by some of the best ’80s synth-wave revivals of the moment such as Swedish synth-popper Mitch Murder, analogue keyboard warrior Betamaxx, Highway Superstar, Christoffer Ling and Lost Years.

Of course, “Kung Fury Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” won’t be available on CD… not at all.
If you want to savor the sound of nostalgia, and blast the soundtrack in original ’80s fashion, now you can… but only on Vinyl LP.
Universal Sweden is going to release the soundtrack on LP only (pressed on shiny red vinyl, only the most colorful treatment is appropriate for Kung Fury) next July 8th.
