Formed in Sweden in the ’80s, BAD HABIT is synonymous of quality Melodic Rock / AOR from Scandinavia. Still lead by guitarist / keyboardist / songwriter Hal Marabel – one of the finest melody makers in the world – BAD HABIT are back with their first album in 10 years: “Autonomy“, and they do it, as always, with style.
“Autonomy” is a great example on how a modern Melodic Rock album should be arranged, performed, produced & mixed: there’s layers of melodies thanks to old-school-like multi-track production concept, and incredible attention to detail for a 2021 recording.
So we have here a melodic rock / AOR album with the ‘classic era sonics’, and what about the songs? All are smooth, trademark BAD HABIT tunes with that Scandi ‘magic’ over ’em. And we love it…
