NORDIC UNION – Animalistic (2022) *HQ*

NORDIC UNION, the ongoing musical collaboration between legendary Danish rock singer Ronnie Atkins (Pretty Maids) and prolific Swedish songwriter and producer Erik Martensson (Eclipse, W.E.T.), are ready to release their third album, “Animalistic“.
Atkins partnered up with Martensson in late 2021 and early 2022 to work on Nordic Union’s new album, and as happened with the previous, fans will find nothing but pure melodic hard rock joy to soak in on this third opus. Martensson, on an absolute creative, and commercial, winning streak with the most recent Eclipse albums, wrote the bulk of the album with contributions from Atkins and Miqael Persson, and also produced, mixed, and mastered the album.
The results are nothing short of inspired and delightful. A true testament to the skills and talent of both Atkins and Martensson. This is pure Scandinavian ‘nordic’ melodic hard rock of the highest order!

RONNIE ATKINS – Make It Count (2022)

Danish hard rock legend singer/songwriter RONNIE ATKINS will put out a new album via Frontiers Music, “Make It Count“, released almost one year to the day after Atkins’ last solo album, the critically acclaimed “One Shot”.
In early 2021 Ronnie Atkins released his up close and personal solo album called One Shot. The album took a more personal direction, detailing some of struggles Ronnie has faced recently with his battles with cancer and acknowledging one’s mortality. 2022 has blessed us with another personal album from Ronnie. This one is called ”Make it Count” and musically pick up right where One Shot left off.
Like the title-song ‘Make It Count’, every day counts and Atkins is trying to make the best of a serious condition. I liked ‘One Shot’ but I like ‘Make It Count’ even better.
Since the start of his rock ‘n roll journey with Pretty Maids, Ronnie Atkins has consistently gifted fans with quality melodic rock, and “Make It Count” delivers again in spades…

RONNIE ATKINS – 4 More Shots (The Acoustics) +1 (2021)

Hot on the heels of his really good new solo album “One Shot”, stellar Danish vocalist RONNIE ATKINS (Pretty Maids, Nordic Union) has announced the upcoming release of a new EP, “4 More Shots (The Acoustics)” on October 1, 2021.
The EP consists of one unreleased studio track, ‘Carry Me Over’, and four acoustic tracks. All three acoustic tracks, ‘When Dreams Are Not Enough’, ‘Picture Yourself’, and ‘Real’, have original studio versions that appear on “One Shot”, but here are presented in stripped fashion, including pianos.
With a physical CD edition limited to 500 copies worldwide, “4 More Shots (The Acoustics)” is already sold out a day before its official release.

It was time; to be released tomorrow, “One Shot” is the first ever solo effort by PRETY MAIDS front man RONNIE ATKINS. Most 0dayrox team members being big Maids’ fans, we’ve been waiting this Atkins solo venture for a long time… and the man doesn’t disappoint.
“One Shot” is a real killer. The Danish singer for the most part leaves the path of his mainband and with massive support of bandmate Chris Laney turns things more melodic and less heavy here. Incredibly hook-driven, very personal and simply intense, this will be the ultimate RONNIE ATKINS album highlighting his unique voice.
