Swedish Melodic Hard Rock sensation THE POODLES are back with ‘Devil in the Details’, their sixth studio album to be released in March 25, and follow-up to the critically acclaimed ‘Tour de Force’.
Today, The Poodles are presenting the first single off the album entitled “The Greatest”, including the B-side “House Of Cards”.
Following the evolution of the band’s sound evident on the previous CD, the Poodles continued their collaboration with producer Mats Valentin.
“The Greatest” is indeed a great, anthemic midtempo ballad full of magic, while B-side “House Of Cards” shows a groovy, marching melodic rock feel with a punchy riff and a scorching guitar solo.
All in all, The Poodles have had over ten ‘top 10’ singles in Scandinavia so far – which makes them one of Sweden’s most successful Rock bands – and I’m sure this one won’t be an exception.
