Holy cow… there’s a new band in Sweden that needs to be (and will be, believe me) signed soon by a specialized record label: their name is FATE’S RIGHT BAND.
Hailing from Umeå, Fate’s Right Band is releasing “Knucklebuster Hits” – an EP containing 4 killer Melodic Hard Rock songs with the intention to hit you like a punch in the face!
Brothers Marko and Jari Aalto had a dream; create their own band and make kick ass songs. The goal was clear and simple. The Aalto brothers joined forces with Jonas Andersson (drums) and lead axe-man Jens Mann, starting an intensive period of heavy-duty songwriting five years ago.
In the beginning of 2013 Jonny Lindkvist, a well respected singer in Scandinavia (Nocturnal Rites among others) joined the group and Fate’s Right Band was formed.
Now, 2015, Fate’s Right Band are presenting their debut EP, and what massive rockers packs inside.
Opener “Big No No” is an awesome melodic rocker in the vein of the first Bonfire and with some Europe on the verses, followed by the classic hard rocker “Learn To Live With A Broken Heart” sporting a catchy chorus.
“That’s Me” turn things more anthemic and ready for the arenas (reminds me Y&T), while “This Boy Don’t Cry” does not stop with its vigorous riff and muscular rhythm section.
Only 4 songs, but they will leave breathless.

“Knucklebuster Hits” are indeed 4 kickin’, melodious, ’80s influenced melodic hard rockers full of fire. The band sounds incredibly tight & oiled, and production is first class.
Indeed, everything comes out bright and punchy, with a mix that put some major acts into shame. And the guys are really, really good: biting guitars, pumping bass lines, bouncy drumming and awesome vocals. Yeah, Jonny Lindkvist is a revelation, this man is monster behind the mic.
You need to check Fate’s Right Band immediately: this EP is terrific.
