SISKA – Romantic Dark & Violent (2018)

SISKA - Romantic Dark & Violent (2018) full
HERE

Formed in 2015 by guitar player Mattia Sisca, SISKA is a classic hard rock 5-piece from Italy releasing their debut album “Romantic Dark & Violent“. Taking inspiration from the great names from the genre, the band’s sound is definitely ’80s oriented.

Siska already played in festivals and South America and recently the band were chosen by Skid Row to take part to their United World Rebellion tour across Europe.
Musically, they are guitar driven, with melodic vocals and traditonal hard rock structures and occasional metal edge.

“Romantic Dark & Violent” is ‘romantic’ in the lyrics with themes about relationships, not ‘dark’ at all in terms of sound, and definitely not ‘violent’ musically. Everything is really melodic, especially Alessandro Bernardi’s lead vocals.

Siska’s influences range from American to European classic bands of the genre.
I could do a song-by-song sound-like, but I will mention the overall stylings instead; at places there’s a Michael Schenker Group circa 1983, some Steeler (Yngwie Malmsteen era), American band Shout (Ken Tamplin), a bit of Keel, and a dash of Impellitteri more melodic moments.
