Some time ago vocalist Kristoffer Gobel (ex FALCONER) was mixing material for his solo album with long-time friend guitarist Christoffer Borg (ex- ART NATION). In the process both musicians exchanged ideas, and a real, tight and hungry band emerged in the process.
Two years later we have “End Of All”, the rocking new album from Swedes SIX FOOT SIX. Completing the line up with experienced Markus Gustafsson (Bass) and Henrik Hedman (Drums), the band delivers hard hitting tunes plenty of catchiness and melody.
Think a mix between the punch of JADED HEART, the melody of PINK CREAM 69, melodic progressive touches ala ALLEN / LANDE, and huge epic choruses like ACCEPT.

Kicking off in a gleefully fun and very catchy way, ‘Welcome to Your’ Nightmare is a hot start. The riffs instantly taking hold before the clean and powerful vocals drip through the mind like warm syrup. An immediate banger of a track. But we’re just getting started!

The title track has a thumping foot-tapper of a beat, ‘In God We Trust’ is a classic slice of old-school riffing pie, ‘In the Eyes of the World’ races along with manic energy (the guitar solo in this one is fabulous) and ‘Blood Will Out’ semi-ballad / lower tempo is lusciously dark and twisted sounding.
Each track offers something slightly different while being unquestionably grin-inducing.
It’s classic stuff but very modern in production. Instead Six Foot Six are dragging the sound kicking and screaming into the now.

Music like this is all about positive vibes, the sheer energy of what comes with ‘Last Days of Our Lives’, the melodic group shout-along that is ‘Finale Vittoria’ and the racing rhythmic riffing and shredding of ‘Abducted’.
A sure sign of quality is when, regardless of length, it ever feels like it’s dragging and you find yourself eagerly awaiting what comes next.

That’s this album, as the chugginess of ‘I Am Your King’ reigns supreme, ‘Edge of the World’ is almost a melodic hard rocker in a singalong style that will make you walk a little taller, ‘Oblivion’ is an out and out heavy rocker, and ‘Break the Wheel’ closes out a banger of an album with a groovy chorus driven effort.
”End Of All” rocks hard, powerfully, but full of melody, catchiness and at places, epicness. All very well arranged and produced to great effect.
