EVERLEVEL – Everlevel (2021)

Spanish AOR band EVERLEVEL are releasing a new album, the self-titled ”Everlevel”. Fronted by Javier Garcia Uriarte, this is a bunch of experienced musicians which have been working together since the mid-Eighties and under different band names.
EverLevel put out an indie album in the early Nineties, then they changed the name to La Fase releasing a self-titled CD which gained a solid reputation and reviews back in the day. After that the continued playing and recording under the name Arka (one album), then EverLevel again.
While La Fase utilize Spanish lyrics, EVERLEVEL is full English, and musically taking references from the 80s / 90s / 2000s AOR & melodic rock sound both from America and Europe.

EverLevel musical style always has been a mix of melodic hard rock flavored tunes with strong AOR melodies all over. This new album is plenty of energetic melodic rocking songs and smooth AOR atmospheres, reminiscent from FM, Strangeways, Journey to more modern acts like Newman, Overland.

What we like about EverLevel and their songs is the strong keyboard / synth presence on all tracks. The keys are a substantial element in the band’s music, defining the classic AOR sound and creating wonderful atmospheres.
While the overall production is a little ‘rough around the edges’ and at places Javier has a noticeable accent, the focused material on offer makes EverLevel very, very enjoyable.
