HERE

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada native singer / songwriter TIM FEEHAN perfected his musical skills by writing songs and recording demos in the second half of the Seventies while getting his BA in sociology at the University of Alberta.
Feehan began in bands early on but it wasn’t until 1979 when his college band, Footloose, started making waves on the Western scene that things began to take off. In 1980 their debut album yielded the hit “Leaving For Maui” which went Top-10 for several weeks in Canada. The band released several more singles over 1980 and 1981 with Feehan leaving shortly thereafter to pursue a solo career.
As requested, here we have the first TIM FEEHAN solo album, 1981’s “Sneak Preview“, for years out of print but fortunately reissued by specialized AOR reissue Japanese label Cool Sound Inc. The remastered treatment is excellent with great low-end and clarity.

The ‘Footloose’ album sold very well, but by the time of their fourth single was released in early ’81 Feehan had completed his Degree, and was already leaning towards a solo career, leaving Footloose that summer.
Still personally under contract with Mustard Records which released Footloose’s LP, Feehan released his first solo album that fall.

“Sneak Preview” loosely followed the path he was paving with Footloose, but with more FM radio direction and an enhanced AOR / West Coast sophistication, featuring guest appearances by Doug Jenson of Jenson Interceptor and Vicki Moss.
Though still charged with the energy evident in the first single “Backseat – Backbeat”, it also contained two other singles “Go Ahead & Break My Heart” and “Try Harder”, as well as the title-track and the moody “Night Spin”.

Fans of early ’80s FM sound / AOR / West Coast with pop sensibilities will love “Sneak Preview”, a refined piece of Canadian stuff with its usual pristine production, class arrangements and strong performances.
This Cool Sound Japan remaster is out of print now, being sold for over U$D 130 now.
