As requested by many, here’s the recording material from Pittsburgh based melodic hard rockers RAQUEL. Formed in 1990 and self-managed, after recording a demo locally released on cassette, Raquel burst onto the scene with a blend of powerful guitar-driven songs and memorable melodies. The band gained notoriety with the song “Pop Goes the Music” which was featured on MTV in the early 90s. This marked the start of the relationship between the band and renowned producer Toby Wright.
This is that very first RAQUEL 1990 cassette, not so long ago made available by the band themselves for the first time on CD via their website page. And while the release is on CDr, the sound quality is much better than the cassette, of course.

Produced by themselves with higher standards than your regular demos, this is the tape that landed into Wright hands and pushed him to work with Raquel. Fans of Danger Danger, Trixter, Poison, Ratt and rarities collectors will love these catchy tunes.
