LOCKHART – No Chance (2022) HQ
LOCKHART is new outfit formed by three young ’80s freaks with the aim to bring band the true AOR sound. Devon; vocals, guitar, synths, Jason; bass, and Fabio on drums are musicians still in their twenties, but their love for the music created 35 years ago are deep in their hearts.
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, LOCKHART are presenting their debut EP ”No Chance”: only 3 songs for the moment – there’s an album in the making – but none of the 3 tracks are duds, experimenting, or trying to sound modern to appeal rock radio – nope, all these are pure synth-driven midtempo AOR numbers with that 1987-1988 magic all over.
LOCKHART play real instruments, no samples here, and while self-managed, the results in production are good.
They still need to polish things of course, and finding a record label whom help with the recording, mixing, mastering, etc, would help a lot. I’m sure after hearing ”No Chance” many will be interesting to sign up these guys.
Long Live AOR!
