V.A. – Rock The Bones Volume 3 [Frontiers Music 2-CD Compilation including rarities]

Early in this Century, Frontiers Music started to release annual compilations including forthcoming material of artists from their roster. As requested, here’s the third from the series, 2005’s “V.A. Rock The Bones Volume 3“, a collectible.
After Volume 2 being a single disc, ”Rock The Bones Volume 3” is again a 2-CD set as happened with the first volume. The interesting from these series is the inclusion of some different song versions than the ones finally appeared later into the artist’s official album releases.
Here we find an early version of a song from the excellent Fredriksen / Denander project only released on this compilation, rough mixes, Edit versions, etc. Disc 1 is more focused on hard rock featuring Harem Scarem, Starbreaker, Glenn Hughes, Joe Lynn Turner, etc, while Disc 2 is pure AOR with the likes of Journey, Survivor, Alien, Blanc Faces, Jaded Heart, Bruce Turgon and more.
