NIGHT BY NIGHT – The Moment (2013)
*
There’s a new band in UK making some fuzz among fans, specialized press and colleagues: NIGHT BY NIGTH.
They are recording the full length debut and meanwhile have released the EP “The Moment”.
Fronted by ex- Sisters Of Mercy guitarist Ben Christo, Night x Night made giant steps since their formation in 2008 supporting Y&T, The Quireboys, Heaven’s Basement, Adam Bomb or Kory Clarke of Warrior Soul to name some, and playing at Download Festival.
As main act they’ve toured Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden and Poland, with more international dates stretching into the future.
Night By Night’s music takes a modern update on classic hard rock, with its mixture of searing guitar riffs, widescreen vocal harmonies and a flawless modern production that casts a powerful spotlight on the band’s solid musicianship.
You’ll hear Def Leppard, Harem Scarem and some Bon Jovi in the Night By Night sound, but there’s plenty of unexpected (yet awe-inspiring) twists on the arrangements.
All the best bits of the ’80s rock scene are combined with the total relevance of today via melodic driving riffs, strong rhythm section and clean-sounding, in-the-pocket solos. The vocal phrasing of Ben Christo is spot-on as well, complemented by 3-part vocal harmonies on the choruses.
Really good stuff from a band that promises great things to come.
Very Recommended.
