Finnish sextet BATTLE BEAST are once again getting ready to unleash their force upon the world in the shape of their brand new album “Circus Of Doom” to be released next weekend. Fronted by Noora Louhimo’s unique voice, BATTLE BEAST keep evolving with “Circus Of Doom”, and in a very welcomed way.
Gone are the trepidation double bass power metal drumming in favor to a much more dynamic rhythm and groove. The song’s structures on this new album are in the traditional melodic metal mold still, of course, blended with the band’s characteristic catchy rock&pop vibes. And the ‘epicness’ has been augmented yet in a really commercial, accessible sonic production.
Call me nuts, but the new BATTLE BEAST approach on “Circus Of Doom” brings to my mind Meat Loaf / Jim Steinman’s titanic, melodic dramatic delivery, all with a bombastic delivery…
