HAILMARY (ex LEATHERWOLF) – Disturbing The Peace [Eönian Records remaster] (2022) *HQ Exclusive*

We are featuring in exclusive at 0dayrox the Eönian Records release of HAILMARY ’90s recordings, the band formed in 1989 by the remaining members of the at the time just disbanded LEATHERWOLF.
After LEATHERWOLF support tour for their last album 1989’s ‘Street Ready’, band members had their differences and lead vocalist & guitarist Michael Olivieri and guitarists Geoff Gayer and Carey Howe formed HAILMARY – also known as HAIL MARY.
The trio known, known as the “Triple Axe Attack” (3 guitarists in the same band) was thus still active, trying to counter the burgeoning grunge hype. The band was a successful The Marquee resident and rocked all the Sunset Strip between 1990-1992.
Meanwhile, HAILMARY recorded their own songs as part of a development deal with Epic Records. The recordings were produced & engineered by Tom Fletcher (Dokken, Ozzy Osbourne, Scorpions) but the band’s material never was released… until now.
Under the title ”Disturbing The Peace”, Eonian Records is releasing for the first time these HAILMARY early ’90s tapes, all recorded with a top quality sound production and now fully remastered from the original tapes…

LEATHERWOLF – Leatherwolf [Japan HR/HM 1000 Vol.4 series] (2022) HQ *0dayrox Exclusive*

Universal Music Japan has started this year another campaign of their ‘HR/HM 1000‘ series, that meaning the reissue of long time out of print albums from their Hard Rock / Heavy Metal catalog at the price of 1000 Yen = about USD 9.
As part of the 2022 HR-HM 1000 Vol.4 series we find LEATHERWOLF self-titled album from 1987, their first album on major label Island Records, and for many the band’s finest moment. Unlike a lot of California-based hair metal bands, Leatherwolf actually qualified as a real US metal band. They put a melodic, polished L.A. style on the traditional sound of the genre.
Think a mix of Crimson Glory and Armored Saint, with the commercial appeal of Dokken or Skid Row. “Leatherwolf” kick some serious ass.
The sound quality on this Japanese CD is great.
