ASIA – The Omega Tour Live Official Bootleg (2011)
Supergroup ASIA toured the world last year presenting the last studio album ‘Omega’.
They have teamed up with instant music specialists Concert Live to produce three limited edition CD sets from three specially selected shows:
17/5/10 Osaka Grand Cube, Japan
10/12/10 HMV Picturehouse, Edinburgh
14/12/10 HMV Forum, London
The Japan & Edimburg CD’s are sold out, but you can still pick-up the few remaining copies of the great show at HMV Forum, London.
This show just plain rocked. The band sounds fresh, energetic and on top of their game.
Definitely a rock concert by a current artist and not an old band going through the motions. This was reflected by the set list with much more new material given an airing than just a GHits concert.
Steve Howe played like the master he is, his performance here is out of this world.
Geoff Downes is amazing on the keyboards while Wetton’s voice is still powerful and in perfect pitch.
Carl Palmer is the monster he always was. Usually a drum solo results
excessive and boring, but this one is simply brilliant.
“Time Again”, “Sole Survivor” and “Open My Eyes” are my favorites if I had to pick anything over the other but in reality the entire set is perfect.
A Highly Collectable limited edition.
