AEROSMITH – What Could Have Been Love (2012)
*
Legends AEROSMITH will return on November 6th with their first album in eight years, ‘Music From Another Dimension’.
The 14-track effort was preceded by the lead singles ‘Legendary Child’ and ‘Lover Alot’, now it’s time for the new cut “What Could Have Been Love”.
As you could guess, “What Could Have Been Love” is one of those trademark Aerosmith power ballads, and a good one.
The track was produced by longtime friend & collaborator, legendary AOR producer Marti Frederiksen, who also co-wrote the song along with Steven Tyler and keyboardist Russ Irwin (Frederiksen also helped write ‘Jaded’ from the ‘Just Push Play’ album).
Much like previous Aerosmith power ballads, “What Could Have Been Love” is a tight lyric wrapped in bright production that highlights Tyler’s voice.
