Tribute albums are like strawberries; it’s your favorite fruit or you don’t like it at all. For me, when the recordings are well done – arranged & produced – I dig this type of releases. “Let the Tribute Do the Talkin’ – Tribute to Aerosmith” is one of those cases, featuring some great names performing great tunes.

All are really, really well done, mostly faithful to the originals yet with each guest adding their own spin.
One of my favorites is “Cryin’” with the always superb Jeff Scott Soto at the mic, accompanied by nothing more and nothing less than the underrated Craig Goldy (Dio / Giuffria / Rough Cutt) on guitars, Jason Scheff (Chicago) on bass, and Aynsley Dunbar (Journey / Jefferson Starship) on drums. Wow.

Joe Lynn Turner does a great “Let The Music Do The Talking”, Glenn Hughes rocks on “Kings And Queens” with Steve Lukather (Toto) on the six strings, and so on… the line-up is simply awesome.

“Let the Tribute Do the Talkin’ – Tribute to Aerosmith” is one of the best hard rock-related tribute albums ever done. This was released more than ten years ago and now reissued, and really worth it to treasure and enjoy.
Classic songs performed by the cream of the genre – Very Recommended.
