V.A. – 0dayrox Advanced Releases August-Sept. 2019 – Vol.3
There’s a very interesting batch of new releases this 2019 Summer, so let’s go with our classic 0dayrox Advanced Releases singles.
Swedish melodic hard rockers ECLIPSE announced that their new single, “United” has been named the official theme song for DreamHack Showdown: a new CS:GO Tournament. Dreamhack, the world’s largest video game festival organizer, chose the song “United” after hearing an advanced copy of Eclipse’s upcoming album, Paradigm. “We ran across ‘United’ pretty much by accident. A colleague had it and played it in the car while traveling from one of our events. The minute we heard it we knew that this was the perfect song for Dreamhack Showdown,” says Charlie Sirc, Dreamhack’s Product Manager.
It’s a killer rocker in the classic ECLIPSE vein.
Swedes NIVA are one of my favorite melodic rock / AOR bands from the last to decades, and fortunately they are back with new material. “Stay With Me” is the new, very good new single.
Swedish project LanderBromer consist of Max Landergren (Billion Dollar Babies) and Oscar Bromvall (Big Time, Code Red, Erika, Palace). “Out from the Pack” is their awesome firt single. Mix “Hysteria” by Def Leppard with Frontline brand of pure Melodic Rock and you will find the sound of LanderBromer. Killer tune.
Next September classic band AXE will release their new studio album ‘The Final Offer‘, and “Land Of Our Fathers” is the first advance. This seems to be the final album from this legendary act.
The name Mark Baker may not be immediately recognisable to many, but for liner note/album credits junkies, it signifies top shelf AOR songwriting. Whether it be melodic rock anthems or ballads, a Mark Baker song means memorable hooks and a big chorus.
He’s the man behind the iconic Signal ‘Loud & Clear’ album as well as many other songs including tracks for 38 Special, Paris Black, Triumph and Boulevard. He was also the main co-writer on House Of Lords’ acclaimed ‘Demons Down’ record, re-joining as co-writer on some of the band’s more recent albums too.
‘The Future Ain’t What It Used To Be’ is a compilation of Mark’s songwriter demos from the 80s and 90s. The songwriter demos feature various singers, including the best session vocalist of them all – MARK FREE. There are several unreleased Mark Free vocals here, and “A Little Too Much” is one of them.
BLACK STAR RIDERS just presented a brand new single, the title track taken from the band’s forthcoming fourth album “Another State Of Grace” set for release on September 6 via Nuclear Blast. It’s a monster guitar driven tune full of energy.
Coming straight at you out of the Heart of The Central Valley of California, here is Modesto’s very own Hottest Rock Band LIONCOURT with their debut single “Kiss to Kill”. It’s a great ’80s inspired hard rocker with polished production.
“Like A Dragonfly” is official debut single of female AOR vocalist MARYAN. The song, written by Pierpaolo “Zorro” Monti & Davide “Dave Rox” Barbieri (Wheels Of Fire, Shining line), is a very ’80s sounding tune with lots of harmonies and keys.
You better take notice about this new band; ZFG. Based in Los Angeles, ZFG consists of Trev Lukather (son of legendary guitarist Steve Lukather and founding member of Toto), bassist Sam Porcaro (son of original bassist for Toto, Mike Porcaro), drummer Josh Devine of One Direction, and stellar vocalist Jules Galli.
The members were close friends in different projects, but decided to get into the studio for fun with a new approach in mind, making music with no rules or boundaries. We have here another single, “Holehearted”, and it sounds pretty awesome.
Really good German hard rockers THE NEW ROSES are back to climb the rock Olympus with their fourth studio album, ‘Nothing But Wild’, out on August 2 via Napalm Records. We have another rocking advance; “Can’t Stop Rock & Roll”, a title which speak by itself.
Do you remember THE REMBRANDTS? We all love the pop-rock duo, The Rembrandts’ iconic theme song from the TV show Friends, “I’ll Be There For You.” Now this classic band is getting ready to celebrate that show’s 25th anniversary, and also to release their new album, Via Satellite, out August 23.
This album marks The Rembrandts first studio album in 18 years and features meticulous, guitar-driven songs that explore every nook and cranny of the pop continuum. The first single “Broken Toy” hews toward dizzying power-pop with hollering vocals awash in emotional grit.
