PSYCLE – Kill The Machine (2020)
Rockers PSYCLE will release their new album titled ‘Kill The Machine‘ on June 16, 2020. Solid, hard driven, melodic, and strong are just a few words to describe the music of Psycle.
With a classic hard rock foundation and a modern sound, the band’s first EP received very positive reviews, winning 3 awards at the Stone Chrome Radio show for Breakout Band, Vocalist of the Year and Drummer of the Year. Psycle was the only unsigned act to even be nominated.
First of all, Psycle and “Kill The Machine” both sound very professional. Singer/rhythm guitarist Seth Salois has rich fluidity in his vocals, he leans towards the Ian Astbury (The Cult) side of the vocal range. Salois has a melodically authoritative style that’s powerful and legit without being overbearing.
Drummer Jay Spyne is indeed the backbone (pun intended) of each track with his impeccable timing that serves as a musical compass, setting the pace. Bassist Mike Kaz adds an extra dimension with deep pulsing bass lines which give the overall feel of Psycle’s music a sly seductive undercurrent.
On top of it all there’s Joe Nicolazzo sophisticated guitar work delivering some intricate rocking riffs throughout each track.
“Kill The Machine” is easy-going, hard rock that does not assault your ears. At the same time, it certainly has punchy riffs and razor-sharp hooks that pull you in deeper, wanting more. Production values are minimal and pure, yet still high quality.
