RAIDER – Runaway (2022) HQ

We were pleasantly surprised two years ago with the first EP from RAIDER, the South Wales band fronted by The Voice UK 2019 contestant, Mike Platt. RAIDER’s passion lies in creating infectious 80s-style melodic rock / AOR tunes with keyboard-laced hooks and catchy choruses.
Now 2022 it’s time for Raider’s first full length CD titled “Runaway“, and that Eighties feeling not only is augmented in the music but also the lyrics and attitude. Just take a look at the album’s cover art…

All over the lovely 10 tracks packed here you can hear the sonic reference to BON JOVI, HEAVY PETTIN’, DANGER DANGER, HEAVEN’S EDGE – and WINGER if you take a close look at the band’s logo.
If you play this type of music comparison are inevitable, however RAIDER adds their own touch with solid musicianship and clever arrangements, wrapped by a warm clean melodic mix / production.
