While not well known as other contemporary ’80s acts from the hard rock scene, FIST is a terrific band. Now Bad Reputation Records is releasing for the first time on CD, fully remastered, Fist’s fourth LP “In The Red” from 1983, including the bonus track which originally only was available on the cassette version of the album.
Fist’s previous LP received great reviews and interesting sales. Backed by the album’s success, the group took the show on the road again, this time playing outdoor festivals with the likes of Heart, MotorHead, Krokus, Scorpions and many more.
The band took some time off following the tour’s end in 1982 and didn’t re-emerge until the “In The Red” album in ’83. Fist’s fourth album, was engineered and produced by world renowned producer Nick Blagona who produced numerous projects with artists such as Deep Purple, Rush, etc.
“In The Red” was released worldwide in February of 1983. The single, “If I’m Not Loved”, generated enormous airplay in North America FIST toured Canada from coast to coast.
This is real hard rock driven by punchy riffs and catchy choruses, all kickin’ tracks with no filler in sight.
