As requested, here’s SLAUGHTER 1992’s second album “The Wild Life” in its Remastered & Expanded edition including bonus tracks. Listening “The Wild Life” in its entirety, it’s a hell of a record. Many fans actually think this is a better album than debut Stick It To Ya. The hooks and catchiness are still there, now augmented with mature arrangements.
”The Wild Life” saw the daylight in April 21, 1992, where most ’80s bands began to suffer as the grunge wave started sweeping in. Anyway, Slaughter managed to produce several hit singles: title track “The Wild Life”, “Days Gone By” and “Real Love”.
Musically this album showed a rich variety of musical perspective, from those mandatory emotional-fueled power ballads and melodic rock, to groovy hard rock and hair metal.

“Reach For The Sky” and “Out For Love” are really good openers, but it’s #3, the title track, that steals the show. That first single has blasting chorus and Blas Elias pumped up the groove nicely. “Dance For Me Baby” with its naughty Van Halen-ized beat and “Old Man” with its Aerosmith flair are great examples of Slaughter taking on some past references.
“Days Gone By”, “Real Love”, and “Streets of Broken Heart” are all sensational ballads, hard to top them all, a timeless classic, and to this day, I always found the songs to be very inspiring and adorable.

At the verge of glam’s decadence, Slaughter still delivered a classy US melodic hard effort. It’s plenty of great tunes, hooks, and melodies. This remastered version sounds really good, and there’s a couple of bonuses to enjoy.
