BON JOVI – All Time Best 1984-2024 [Japan-only Super Deluxe Edition 3x SHM-CD] (2024) **HQ**

To celebrate BON JOVI 40th anniversary, at the end of 2024 Universal Music Japan prepared “All Time Best”. Another Greatest Hits? Well, this one is a little different. First, it was only released in Japan… Two, the songs were hand picked by their Japanese fans. As a result, you do get the big hits, but there also some deep cuts you don’t normally see on a Bon Jovi greatest hits set.
There’s a regular 1-disc release, but this “All Time Best 1984-2024 [Japan-only Super Deluxe 3 x SHM-CD Edition]” packs 50 songs all over 3 SHM-CD (plus a Blu-ray), all remastered.
This is the most complete BON JOVI ‘Best’ you can find. It’s chock full of hits and not hits, with 50 songs covering their entire career from the 1984 debut all the up to the 2024 release of ‘Forever’. This is a pretty freaking great compilation and if you want a career expansive set, you aren’t going to get any better than this right here. The only misstep I see is that one of my all time favorite Bon Jovi tracks is missing and that is “Something To Believe In”. Outside of that, it is stellar.
Being a Japanese release, you are going to get “Tokyo Road” obviously, but it is the other songs you wouldn’t expect that are what makes this set great…

BRUNETTE (pre- Hardline) – 1989-1990 Demos [FnA Records official release]

Melodic Hard Rock fans have been asking for years the release of all BRUNETTE material, the band that would become Hardline. Finally lead singer Johnny Gioeli dig deep in his archives and made this music available for the very first time under the title “Brunette 1989-1990 Demos“, released by FnA Records.
BRUNETTE was an underground legend. Although they never signed to any label or issued any proper album, they were one of the biggest acts on the Sunset Strip in terms of popularity. After disbanding, brothers Johnny (vocals) and Joey (guitars) Gioeli formed the band Hardline along with Neal Schon and Deen Castronovo of Journey fame.
“Brunette 1989-1990 Demos” capture their complete tenure as a band, enhanced & remastered to get the best sound possible…

BRUNETTE (pre- Hardline) – Rough Demos [FnA Records CD release]

Melodic Hard Rock fans have been asking for years the release of all BRUNETTE material, the band that would become Hardline. Founder / lead singer Johnny Gioeli dig deep in his archives and made this music available for the very first time, and the second Brunette album, released by FnA Records, is titled “Rough Demos“.
Gioeli, perhaps best known for fronting Hardline in the early ’90s together with guitarist Neal Schon (Journey) and for being the ‘singing voice’ behind many Sonic the Hedgehog games, got his start playing locally in LA and leaving behind a collection of songs that ultimately never got the proper treatment they deserved.
“Brunette Rough Demos” is the second part of two-CD collections of songs by Brunette that capture their complete tenure as a band, enhanced & mastered to get the best sound quality possible…

RAINBOW – The Singles Box Set 1975-1986 [remastered 19-CD] *HQ*

In the tradition of similar boxes for Deep Purple and Dio, Universal Records has released a 19-CD box set replicating the singles offering by legendary hard rock outfit RAINBOW, entitled “The Singles Box Set 1975-1986“.
This collection covers the entire Rainbow lifespan and give equal measure to the three Rainbow frontman, Dio, Bonnett and Turner. Each singer takes Rainbow in a different direction and Blackmore plays all these variations with ease, from the Fantasy inspired era of the late great Dio, the hard rock kick Bonnet years and then finally the more commercial sounding Turner era.
Each one of these incarnations has delivered some cracking albums and the singles really just picked themselves.
“The Singles Box Set 1975-1986” is definitely a collectible package raising the bar for this type of releases, featuring no fewer than 19 compact discs, all in repro original LP sleeves…

ALDO NOVA – Aldo Nova [Rock Candy remaster] + Extra **HQ**

The self-titled debut by Montreal-born ALDO NOVA was a blueprint for the radio friendly AOR / Melodic Rock style that would become tremendously popular throughout the ’80s defining the style & sound for the genre, but also for the hair metal movement to take the world by storm in years to come.
As requested in maximum audio quality, this ‘Remastered & Reloaded‘ version released by Rock Candy Records sounds slightly different than the only other remaster available (Japan, 2004). We prefer this one, more punchy and better in its dynamic range.
As 0dayrox extra, we added a very rare alternate version of the song ‘Foolin’ Yourself’.
The disc garnered two hit singles – the classic “Fantasy” and “Foolin’ Yourself” which pushed album sales over a million copies worldwide, ranked among Billboard’s Top-10 just 10 weeks after its release (and remaining there for 12 weeks more), and achieving both U.S. double-Platinum and Canadian double-Platinum status.

ALDO NOVA – Subject: Aldo Nova [Rock Candy remaster] **HQ**

As requested, here’s for the first time in maximum audio quality ALDO NOVA underrated second studio album 1983’s “Subject: Aldo Nova“, in the form of the very good remastered reissue by Rock Candy Records –
In the early ’80s Nova secured a publishing deal and then a recording contract with Portrait Records through CBS. His self-produced, self titled debut album contained some material from his earlier demo sessions and garnered two hit singles which pushed record sales over a million copies worldwide.
For “Subject: Aldo Nova” he decided to go for something different adding short instrumentals between the actual songs, including lots of synthesizers and effects. This move was quite criticized by the press at the time arguing that affected the disc flow…
Well, time proved the were wrong: “Subject: Aldo Nova” is a cult classic AOR album from the Eighties, imaginative, catchy, melodic…

TARGET (Jimi Jamison) – Target [Rock Candy remastered +2] **HQ**

TARGET, out of Memphis, Tennessee, was the first band to bring the great Jimi Jamison to a major label release (pre- Cobra). Target put out a pair of albums for A&M never officially released on CD. Thanks to Rock Candy Records, we are able to hear these great LP’s again, with their special remastered treatment. Target’s first album, the self-titledTarget”, includes two bonus tracks in this reissue.
Arguably the British rock scene was hugely influenced by the massive commercial impact of American melodic rock bands that emerged during the late ’70s. However there was a time, earlier in the decade, when British rock cast a huge impact on American music. Acts such as Bad Company, Trapeze and Deep Purple were the hot ticket items of the time and their influence was staggeringly persuasive… not least on Target.
Memphis based Target were keen students of the British sound and forged their style and identity with exacting accuracy. It was a style that showcased vocalist Jimi Jamison’s vocals perfectly, a wonderful combination of rough-hewn growls delivered with velvet smoothness, sitting proudly atop songs that packed a decidedly bluesy hard rock punch. The combination was hugely compelling…

TARGET (Jimi Jamison) – Captured [Rock Candy remastered +6] **HQ**

TARGET was the first band bringing the great Jimi Jamison to major attention releasing a pair of albums for A&M never officially appeared on CD before – now can enjoy both with the special remastered treatment by Rock Candy Records. Target second album “Captured” includes 6 bonus tracks in this reissue.
During the Seventies, Memphis was a hot bed of musical talent. Sure, its blues and r ‘n’ b roots had always been proudly on display, but with the explosion of FM radio, bigger live venues, and the establishment of a renown studio (Ardent), the city seemed to be providing its home grown musicians with an opportunity to set the world on fire.
None of these possibilities were lost on Target, a cabal of tough rockers keen to stamp their identity on the local scene and beyond…

SERPENTYNE – Tales From The Dark (2025) *HQ*

With a new record deal with Rockshots Records, London based SERPENTYNE are back after nearly six years with an energised follow-up to their well received 2019 album. Blurring the lines between Symphonic, folk and melodic metal, the five piece band return with their third album “Tales From The Dark” which should help cement their place in the group of bands leading the resurgence of this genre. Serpentyne are just about to embark on a tour in February / March 2025 supporting legends of symphonic metal Tarja Turunen and Marko Hietala on their “Living the Dream Together” tour.
Firing on all cylinders right from the off, opening track ‘Prophetess of Dreams’ combines a very heavy riff with an eastern flavour and some superb choral vocals. Slow and pulsating song ‘Into the Night’ takes us down a much darker road with a burning intensity that builds and builds to a fabulous vocal finish.
‘Dangerous Mind’ has a retro feel to it which remind us the sound from those days of the very dark ’80s where keyboards were fused with edgy guitar riffs – absolutely love it…

BIG CANYON – Big Canyon (2025)

After some singles and an EP, London-based heavy rockers BIG CANYON make a thunderous return with their self-titled debut full-length album “Big Canyon“, released today. This milestone not only marks a new chapter for the band – as previously were a trio and now are fronted by powerhouse vocalist Andi Meacock – but also solidifies their place as one of the most exciting acts in classic heavy rock scene.
With 10 tracks forged in the fires of raw emotion and crushing riffs, “Big Canyon” rocks with intense groove, melody and a polished production by the in-demand Dave Draper (known for his work with Ginger Wildheart, The Wildhearts, and Terrorvision). Draper’s deft touch ensures that every moment hits with maximum power, perfectly framing the band’s dynamic blend of heaviness and melody.
The album opens with ‘Rescue Me’, a soaring heavy rocking anthem. From the first note, Meacock’s commanding vocals demand attention, while the band’s tight instrumentation sets the stage for an electrifying ride…

SCORPION CHILD – I Saw The End As It Passed Right Through Me (2025) *HQ*

We were truly impressed by SCORPION CHILD’s previous albums – modern age Classic Rock little masterpieces – simply put, this is one of the top bands bringing a new blood to this timeless genre. So when the press release arrived announcing a new album out of the box today, we knew we had to check out “I Saw The End As It Passed Right Through Me” immediately.
And after nine years since their last LP, SCORPION CHILD is coming back stronger than ever with their third studio album produced by themselves, an intense, imaginative collection of fresh songs to die for.
For lovers of that 1970s-1980s classic rock / hard rock with some haunting bluesy feeling thrown in for good measure, “I Saw The End As It Passed Right Through Me” will get you hooked from start to finish with its captivating vibe. And the good news are that SCORPION CHILD is also trying new things musically.
“Be the Snake” is the perfect blistering start, a track full of crunchy riffs and thundering drumbeats…

CRAZY LIXX – Thrill Of The Bite (2025) *HQ*

Swedish hard rockers CRAZY LIXX are thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated new studio album, ”Thrill Of The Bite”, set for release on February 14th, 2025, via Frontiers Music.
”Thrill Of The Bite” elevates CRAZY LIXX’s music to new heights. Following the success of their previous album Street Lethal (2021), this new record is packed with powerful anthems, memorable riffs and melodies, electrifying guitar solos, and the larger-than-life sing-along energy that fans have come to expect from the band, delivering what is already shaping up to be one of the band’s strongest works in their 20+ year career.
The album features tracks that highlight the Swedes ability to balance their nostalgic, sleaze-metal roots with their love for the 80s and early 90s, drawing inspiration from the flamboyant heavy metal and movies of that era alike.
There’s a turn to a heavier, riff-driven style while maintaining their signature melodic choruses and glam-influenced attitude…

GINGER EVIL – The Way It Burns (2025) *HQ*

Finnish female-fronted rock sensations GINGER EVIL are ready to present their debut album with Frontiers Records, “The Way It Burns“, produced by Teemu Aalto (Insomnium), who also handled the final mixes, while mastering was done by Grammy-nominated Svante Forsbäck of Chartmakers (Volbeat, Sunrise Avenue, Apocalyptica).
Ginger Evil began as Moonshine Inc. in 2005, in a rehearsal room in Helsinki, Finland. After a couple of years of composing, a fruitless search for a singer meant the songs were put on ice. Meanwhile, guitarist Tomi Julkunen and bassist Veli Palevaara continued gigging in Finland with The Milestones, including arena shows with Deep Purple and Whitesnake. In the aftermath of their fifth album, those Moonshine Inc. songs from a decade back emerged from hibernation, so the search began again for a vocalist.
The powerful voice of Ella Tepponen was known to Tomi and Veli from many theatre and music projects, and drummer Toni Mustonen was already familiar to everyone. Jamming together found a shared musical passion, and a group creative process soon flourished. GINGER EVIL was born…

RAY OF LIGHT – Salute (2025) *HQ*

A new German-British comet is blazing: RAY OF LIGHT, a new star in the melodic hard rock galaxy. Ray of Light is a fresh line-up that should make some long-standing heavy rockers and AOR fans prick up their ears, as the promising name includes members of a gang that has already released several official records under the FRONTLINE banner – eight to be precise – and has been on the verge of an international breakthrough several times.
The time has come, and Ray Of Light show the world what’s possible under the new name with their album titled ”Salute”, which is due to be released on February 14, 2025. All ten tracks on the album share one thing for sure: they radiate a refreshing positivity that breaks through in a drive as exuberant as it is powerful – ”Salute” extends way past the friendly greeting that gives the album it’s name.
It is a glimmer of hope, a soundtrack to a new beginning, which was fueled not least by the arrival of the incredibly talented British rock voice Gregg Cromack as lead singer. And yet there is so much more to the creation of this piece: a new foundation full of verve on the one hand, but also a heavy blow of fate and loss for the band on the other, when co-founder, guitarist, songwriter and long-time friend Robby Boebel fell seriously ill in the middle of the album preparations in 2022 and died far too soon afterwards. It would take until the fall of 2023 for Ray of Light to begin working with exceptional guitarist and producer Jörg “Warthy” Wartmann and complete the work in memory of the late friend.
“Salute” is a superb debut album. As a unit RAY OF LIGHT are tight musically and what a great singer Greg Cromack is, he nails every track. This has to be one of the best and strongest debuts we heard in recent years. Also I would like to mention the production which is really good, the perfect balance which adds to the fantastic sound that this band has…

MANTRIC MOMENTUM – Alienized (2025) *HQ*

MANTRIC MOMENTUM, the melodic metal group centered around vocalist Terje Harøy (Pyramaze) and cousin multiinstrumentalist / songwriter Christer Harøy (Divided Multitude, Crossnail) are back with the new album “Alienized”, on Frontiers Music. With the debut album “Trial By Fire”, Mantric Momentum raised the interest of the Melodic Metal audience, delivering great songs, amazingly composed and arranged, with a big production.
“Alienzied” brings the band to the next level with an even more bombastic production, handled by Mr. Jacob Hansen, and a collection of songs where Terje’s superb singing together with the solid songwriting skills of Christer makes Mantric Momentum a pretty unique project.
This is a musical journey that challenges genre boundaries. The record blends aggressive instrumental work with soaring, emotionally-charged vocals, creating a listening experience that is as intense as it is accessible.
The Harøys manage to strike a delicate balance between technical prowess and melodic sensibility. Signing off on all instrumental duties, Christer pulls this release, with minor external additions as marked the debut. Guest appearances are now only noted for Jimmy Hedlund’s guitar solos on ,,Time is My Ally” and ,,Remember”, while Frank Nordeng Røe lays down drums on two tracks…
