DELLA STREET – Faces (1989) + bonus tracks

As requested, here’s “Faces“, the one and only release by American rockers DELLA STREET, a five piece from New Mexico. Based in Albuquerque, DELLA STREET formed in the first half of the ’80s and toured the area performing covers and original material.
Soon the guys became popular, had their own gear and tour bus, and played across the country as headliners or sharing stages with many national acts from Cheap Trick and Kansas to Mariah Carey (!) in front of crowds as large as 35,000 people.

By 1989 DELLA STREET recorded “Faces”, an album of original material professionally released on silver-pressed CD via Indie / Private label Xclusive Records. These guys were strongly influenced by Boston, and you can tell that all over the 10 songs on offer, also with keyboards reminiscent of Styx. There’s some really wonderful tunes, very well arranged. DELLA STREET balanced things with other radio friendly songs in the REO Speedwagon mold. Despite being recorded 1989, DELLA STREET’s style is pretty late Seventies / early Eighties, that classic sound. And they are good.
As 0dayrox extra we added an unreleased song in demo form, plus their version of Heart’s ‘Barracuda’, one of the many covers of classic rock songs DELLA STREET still perform alive.
