DAVID A SAYLOR – Strength Of One (out of print) *HQ*

DAVID A SAYLOR (RIP), once front man of awesome AORsters Push UK and Wild Rose, was a classic, true AOR purveyor. His third album “Strength Of One” featured notable contributors as guests such as guitarists David Mark Pearce and former Push band mates Brett Hammond & Nik Lloyd providing great guitar solos to enhance these wonderful, pure AOR tunes.
“Strength Of One” is out of print, copies being sold for over U$D 200. As requested, here’s HQ.
As usual, Saylor’s smooth yet raspy vocal delivery stand out, and paired with top notch songwriting, this is not your typical AOR by numbers album. All songs are consistent compositions, driven by smooth guitar lines, a floating rhythm section and heavenly keyboards.
After the strong opener tune of “Welcome To The Show” comes a compelling cover of melodic rockers 2AM; “Now You’re Leaving”, a perfect example of pure old-fashioned AOR stuff that includes a great melody, fluid vocal lines and a harmony that stuck in your mind for days…

SANTA ANA WINDS – Santa Ana Winds (2016) out of print

SANTA ANA WINDS is the self-titled debut from the project created by AOR Blvd Records and conducted by the great David A. Saylor (in his last official recording) and long time collaborator keyboardist John Dewsbury.
“Santa Ana Winds” features three lead vocalists; David Saylor himself, Brad Henshaw (Road Kings) and newbie Rebecca Owen. Of course, this is pure AOR in the best ’80s tradition. The idea was to carefully select & record obscure AOR songs from the past – some of them never officially released and only known as demos – with a new feeling and arrangements.
Saylor’s vocals did not need introduction to AOR fans, but I have to mention Brad Henshaw as a true revelation as AOR singer, plus Rebecca Own provides the sweet female touch, while Saylor’s daughter Romany does some backing vocals.

DAVID A SAYLOR – Built 2 Fight (2015) Out Of Print

Wild Rose and Push UK vocalist DAVID A SAYLOR delighted us with a bunch of lovely pure AOR albums all over the past decade, and “Built 2 Fight” is just another smooth AOR platter again with notable contributors as guests such as guitarists David Mark Pearce, Brett Hammond and Nik Lloyd providing great guitar solos to enhance these wonderful, sweet melodic tunes.
“Built 2 Fight” is out of print now, with copies being sold at Amazon for U$D 900 (!)

DAVID A SAYLOR – City Of Angels (2012) Out Of Print

DAVID A. SAYLOR (RIP) had a solid musical background as professional songwriter, vocal arranger and session vocalist besides a successful career as a solo artist in some Spanish speaking territories. He was a co-funder of the brilliant ’80s British AOR band Push, who finally released their lovely album ‘Strange World’ in 2010.
The following year, Saylor ventured into the studio to record the tracks for this solo comeback CD “City Of Angels“. Despite the years having rolled on, David has not lost any quality around his voice. He’s sounding as fine as ever here, and the material on this disc is pure AOR of the finest pedigree.

DAVID A. SAYLOR – Ship To Nowhere (out of print)

Recorded in Birmingham at the Front Room Studios, “Ship To Nowhere” is the last album from DAVID A. SAYLOR (RIP), one of the vocalists / musicians from the last decade more faithful to the classic AOR sound of the ’80s. “Ship To Nowhere” consists of 12 songs all composed by Saylor except the two listed as bonus tracks; ‘Can’t Break...

DAVID A. SAYLOR – Kiss Of Judas 2 (2019) *EXCLUSIVE*

Released in 2013, ‘Kiss Of Judas’ was a mini album by DAVID A. SAYLOR, known for being the vocalist for underground, cult 80s British AORsters Push. Sadly, Saylor died in 2017, but he left many songs recorded. One of David’s wishes was to re-release ‘Kiss Of Judas” which sold out and demanded high prices on the internet.
Fast Forward to 2019, Aor Blvd Records decided that the time was right for the re-release with the new title “Kiss Of Judas 2“, new artwork and a fresh remastering by Dave Draper (Wildhearts, Dallas) complete with 4 unreleased tracks from the Saylor Archive as a fitting tribute.
Simply put, as pure a traditional AOR record as you could hope to hear in years to come.

ANDY ROCK (Wild Rose) – This Time (2016)

ANDY ROCK, guitarist and founder member of AORsters Wild Rose, just released his second solo album “This Time“. Andy is at charge of all instruments except the lead vocals and the drums, and wrote all of the songs on his “This Time” except 2 tracks in which Dirty Haris (Wild Rose) helped him with the lyrics. Having the excellent David...
