Jørn Lande rejoined Masterplan in mid 2009 after exiting the band in 2006 over creative differences.

To most fans, Jørn is the voice of Masterplan and they enthusiastically welcomed his return last year with hopes that a new record would be imminent.

Well, the time is here for Masterplan’s ‘Time To Be King’.

With ‘Time To Be King’ the band stylistically continues were their award winning highly acclaimed debuts left off, but this time even more refinement and expression has created a different Masterplan.

Epic, melodic, masterful songs full of beauty and grace; the result of extensive songwriting sessions.

Jørn ferociously dominates this recording with his powerhouse vocals. The hunger and immediacy are undeniable.

The band hasn’t been this forceful or earnest since their self titled debut. Roland’s playing has never sounded more urgent and fluid while Mike Terrana is crazy mad (in a good way) on the drums.

All lyrics were penned by Lande this time whilst Grapow, Lande and Mackenrott were all responsible for the songwriting.

Tunes like the energetic title track, the single “Far From The End Of The World”, the grooving “Blow Your Winds” and the melancholic “Lonely Winds Of War” show the band at their very best.
