Brazil has delivered very fine AOR bands over the years, and HORYZON, founded by singer Daniel Vargas and Ari Gomes (bass) in 2014, join the tradition. The quinted have just presented their self-titled debut EP, with a full length in the making.
Horyzon declare influences by AOR greats such as Journey, FM, Toto, Survivor, as well as most recent acts from the genre like Work of Art , Pride of Lions, Houston and Hardline.
And indeed the guys have learned the lesson, as the 3 songs of offer here are plenty of melodies and hooks straight from the ’80s.
“I Believe in Love Again” will give you a rush of energy with catchy melodies pure classy AOR, the keyboard driven “Fight for Your Dreams” is full of melodic nuances all over, while mid-tempo “Caroline” evokes the magical sounds that bands like Journey crafted in the golden age.
Three quality songs with smooth vocals, fine instrumentation and a bright production handled by experienced producer Tito Falaschi.
