One of the newest bands signed by Frontiers Music are British five-piece BIGFOOT, with the full length album to be released by the recording label in October. The band already released by themselves two EP’s, but despite its indie origin both sound very professional and the best part of it; packed with great songs.
So let’s check Bigfoot’s “Stone Soldiers” and the first, self-titled EP.

Bigfoot are a band that knock out classic hard rock at its modern finest; what you get here is a brand of traditional stuff in this genre with the obvious influence of ’70s, ’80s and ’90s heavy rock brought right up to date into the 21st century.
Lead singer Antony Ellis has the powerful pipes to compliment the double lead guitars that Sam Millar and Mick McCullagh share, along with Tom Aspinall on bass and Matt Avery on drums driving the pounding low end.

All in all a tight band who have plied their trade the old fashioned way, getting out there gigging and opening festivals, with the likes of Hard Rock Hell and Bloodstock under their belts, this attitude and work ethic looks like it’s paying off, with a strong following already established and continuously building.
I remember another not too dissimilar classic hard rock band getting a jump start from opening festivals: Thunder, and you can tell they have had a pretty decent career so far.

Yeah, Bigfoot pretty much sounds like Thunder but with many other influences plus their own spin.
The band’s recent EP is titled “Stone Soldiers”, which opens with the title track. This song pretty much define Bigfoot’s style & sound, pulling off the big chorus melodic harmonies and riffs any classic rock fan will lap up.
The next tracks ‘The Gutter’, ‘Run’ and ‘Just Like Me’ throw out more pure classic hard rock riffage intertwined with powerful lead mixed with gang vocals and a thumping back line to get your fists pumping.

‘Blame It On The Dog’ with tongue firmly in cheek, has the chorus of “It smells like shit, blame it on the dog” I can just see that being the sing back moment when played live, and you even get a classy riff off wah wah moment in the middle of the track.

The other tracks are from Bigfoot’s first EP, where they sound a bit rawer. ‘Tie Me Down’ is a monster groove song with some The Dead Daisies on it, but then the chorus is pure melodic hard rock.
‘Bitch Killer’ is fun and ready for arenas, on ‘Come Down My Way’ they do a solid acoustic / electric number (not a ballad), while ‘The Other Side Of Paradise’ rocks with an ’80s vibe and it’s one of my favorites.

I can see with Frontiers Music added Bigfoot to their rooster: they deliver highly melodic, groovy classic hard rock served with great musicianship and top professional arrangements / production.
Can’t wait to hear the new album.
