DANGEROUS CURVES – So Dirty Right (2018)
DANGEROUS CURVES is an Australian hard rock / glam metal band formed in the summer of 2015 in Geelong. Inspired by superstar bands like Bon Jovi, KISS, and Van Halen, on their full length debut “So Dirty Right” the band set out to bring back the famed era of ’80s L.A styled Rock ‘n’ Roll with a modern twist.
These days Australia seems to be producing so many good rock n’ roll bands and Dangerous Curves is no exception. We have featured at 0dayrox some advanced singles from this debut and sfter listen to it in its entirety I can say there really isn’t a bad track on “So Dirty Right”.
“Sensational Submit” is great rockin’ number to get things started with a catchy chorus and kick ass guitar solo. Follower “Art of the Heart” is winner, a party metal anthem at its best. If this was the ’80s MTV would’ve beat this song into the ground and everybody would still be loving it years from now.
“Club Mile High” ahh that club that everyone is looking to get in. Another hooky track that instantly puts a smile on your face. ”Ready or Not” one of my favorite from the album with great backing vocals and catchy as hell!
“See You Again” is a totally guitar-driven rocker and probably the heaviest track on the album, a total ass-kicker, while the ballad – a power ballad – comes with ”Forbidden Love”, definitely having you flying the lighters and singing along.
Songwriting, sound and production in “So Dirty Right” is so US hard rockin’ classy that I had to check I wasn’t somehow still living in 1988!
Dangerous Curves style reminds me a lot of Roxy Blue, Van Halen, Wildside… It’s so easy to get swept away in the tides of Dangerous Curves unbridled enthusiasm. It’s like discovering one of your favorite bands from the ’80s for the very first time.
